Copyright and Moral rights

Creative Conscience respects applicants’ rights and does not claim copyright for works submitted to this competition; applicants will retain full copyright of each entry.

In addition, applicants’ moral rights are respected. Whenever work is published by Creative Conscience (and its partners) applicants will be credited. Failure to publish a credit due to error or oversight shall not be deemed a breach of this condition.

Creative Conscience Awards Entries

  1. By entering this competition applicants agree that any (winning or shortlisted) work submitted may be used by Creative Conscience (and its partners) solely for marketing and promotional purposes for this competition, recurrences of this competition and no other purpose. These uses include:

    • Judging the competition
    • Displaying the entries on the Creative Conscience website (and websites of partners)
    • Displaying the entries at public exhibitions to promote the competition
    • Displaying the entries in a book, magazine or similar
    • Publishing the entries on posters to promote the competition
    • Sub-licensing the entries to the press for reproduction in connection with the competition and any related exhibition *Displaying work in events and workshops

    Inclusion within any materials promoting the competition or any exhibition of works from this competition organised by Creative Conscience Applicants hereby grant the Creative Conscience a non-exclusive, irrevocable royalty free licence to use each entry throughout the world in all media for the uses described in 1–7 above for 3 years following the date of announcement of the winners. Applicants acknowledge responsibility for protecting their entries against misuse by third parties, by for example, but not limited to, the insertion of a watermark. Creative Conscience and its partners can assume no responsibility and are not liable for any misuse of Applicants work by third parties.

    Should any uses of the work beyond those needed to promote the competition arise applicants will be contacted and given the opportunity to negotiate any such usage with the parties concerned independently of the competition.

  2. By submitting entries into the Creative Conscience Awards, Applicants are confirming and warranting to Creative Conscience that entries are their own work and they are the author. Applicants may be asked to evidence their ownership of the creative material and should keep dated records of all working materials.

  3. By submitting entries into the competition, applicants are confirming and warranting to Creative Conscience (and upon request will provide supporting evidence) that those featured within the image(s) have granted permission to be featured in the submitted work.

  4. If, after receipt or publication, the Creative Conscience Awards receives notice that any work infringes, in any way, any third party rights, that work in whichever form it takes, will be immediately excluded from the competition.

  5. Applicants submitting work for publication accept full responsibility concerning the content, nature, quality, lawfulness and truthfulness of the work. Creative Conscience disclaim all liability in this regard.

  6. Creative Conscience disclaims any liability for any access problem, impediment, non-functioning or difficulties that might occur and impede the user from accessing the service because of technical problems related to internet connection.

  7. All photographs, before being published, will be checked in order to assess that they comply with the rules, that they are not immoral, vulgar, unlawful or offensive. Any participant who submits photographs of such nature will be liable for the content and of the nature of the same.

  8. Creative Conscience shall not accept any responsibility for failure to contact an applicant or failure to deliver notice of the winning entries or certificates, if the winners provide invalid or out of date personal data. Applicants authorise Creative Conscience to use their personal data for the purposes of the competition.

Terms And Conditions of Participation in this Prize Competition

Participation in the competition implies the applicants’ complete acceptance and acknowledgement of the Terms and Conditions listed and the conditions listed within ‘rules of entry’ with no limitation whatsoever.

Disputes

These Terms and Conditions, together with all associated licences and usage agreements, shall be governed by English law and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. The judges’ decision will be final in the event of any disagreement. If however there is no unanimous decision amongst the judging panel, a majority decision will apply.
