Environment + Sustainability

Plymouth University

Our project works with existing challenges within the site of Stonehouse, Plymouth (food poverty, divided communities, sea level rise), as well as the global challenges associated with the climate crises (dwindling resources, sea level rise). The masterplan’s three pillars are Ecology, Education and Economy. Taking a holistic approach, incorporating these three elements into a resilient system, resulting in Stonehouse and ultimately Plymouth becoming a self-sustained city. One that not only sustains the socio culture aspect of the city but provides resilience against the incoming flood.
