1 in 10 women and girls in the UK cannot afford sanitary products. We decided to come up with a way to solve this issue. A problem we found, was that sanitary products are seen as a luxury item, not a human right.Paying for sanitary products monthly is radically the same as paying for a luxury monthly subscription. We used Netflix as a platform to introduce the campaign by Bloody Good Period; ‘Free Periods’ to raise awareness and change perspectives around period poverty.
