One in three women have experienced domestic violence. Oscar wanted to use H&M’s global role to spread the message and give a voice to silenced women.
On international womens day H&M will change the appearance of 1/3 of their female models by giving them bruises or scars.
Each woman who’s image has been modified will be tagged to direct viewers to the “One in Three” website where people can learn more about the campaign. A One in Three t-shirt will also be sold with the money being donated to help fight domestic violence. Help from professional counsellors will also be provided on the website.
