Hazmut suits are typically worn by medical technicians to protect from bacteria, viruses and other germs.
However in order to remove the suit there are several touch points which allows for potential transfer of bacteria. Furthermore a second person is regularly required to remove the suit thereby further increasing the risks of contamination.
Oscar’s redesign improves the overall safety of the suit with a focus on the process of removing the suit. The suit now has less than eight potential points of contamination, reduced the removal process from twenty one steps to twelve and reduced the time to remove the suit from twenty minutes to six.
The newly design Personal Protection Equipment drastically reduces the risks of contamination and can save lives.
