A Polyphonic Response is alternative method to construction, as a direct response to the national housing crisis and high levels of deprivation. Stonehouse, Plymouth, in-which the project is based, is the 2nd highest ward of deprivation within Stonehouse and the vast majority of people that live there rent, either socially or privately. By using dialogue, we can re-stitch the current fragmented community, and through self-build architecture, empower and home them. By running these many of these projects at once (polyphonically), we can address the wicked problem that plagues Stonehouse.
