Just A Mum follows a woman’s introduction to motherhood. Beginning as a powerful, pregnant female, the main character loses her identity with the birth of her child, symbolised by the loss of her head.
It shows the many struggles a new baby brings while highlighting the mental health issues that affect the mother.
With the modern introduction of social media and such easy access to information, mothers today can be overwhelmed.
Madalyn’s film aims to address these problems that are often overlooked and suggest that communication can bring people together at a time when they’re feeling the most alone
