Despite becoming fundamental to how we communicate online, emojis do not reflect the current topics that are widely discussed and shared on social media.

Emoji Black Market allows designers to create emojis for issues they care about. People are then able to buy them by donating to an organization supporting that cause. Unicode are then invited to code the most funded emojis and distribute them to Apple, Google and other tech companies.
