The Post Colonial Woman is an investigation into the lack of flesh coloured wearables, specifically lingerie and loungewear that is on offer to women of colour.
Jaspreet’s creative outcome is a portfolio of various dyed fabrics, specific to lingerie and loungewear and a publication that demonstrates equal representation of women of colour within society, with models modelling her clothing that was bought from high street stores and dyed to their skin tone.
The process was documented through the publication, which was an important aspect of the project as it tackled the issue of misrepresentation in the advertising and marketing sectors.
