This project is about the universal theme of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
Presented using an experimental filmmaking style, Jamie guides the viewer through the ups and downs of that particular relationship whilst utilising editing techniques to turn trauma into art.
The film seeks to represent a narrative that Jamie has experienced and has always felt is underrepresented or not represented at all – sexual violence in queer relationships that don’t consist of women.
Sexual and domestic violence is sadly universal and does not discriminate, so Jamie created this film to help raise awareness of this particular narrative and open minds in regards to ongoing debates about sexual violence inspired by the #MeToo movement.
