‘Aral Arsing’ provides a chance to extend the life cycle of the women’s jeans beyond the consumers perceived obsolescence. Denim is a product of cotton farming which requires large amounts of water to grow. Over the many
years the Aral Sea has dried up because cotton farms use the sea as their water source. By using unwanted womens jeans as the raw material, they will be reworked with the use of modern technology and finishes like waterproofing and laser technology for a woman aged 35-45. This will further extend the lifecycle of an existing garment thus creating a more circular economy.
