Faced with the many problems of Senegal’s vulnerable coastlines (erosion, flood, pollution …), this project proposes a protective approach that integrates coastal development.

The approach is based on observing resilient coasts and listening to people. The project site extends from Rufisque to Bargny. It aims to build social, economic and ecological resilience.

Strategies such as reefs, dunes and resilient parks are dedicated to reduce wave action, prevent erosion, rebuild the coastline and promoting the blue economy.

In the short term, life with the sea ceases to be a fight and becomes a symbiosis!
