With growing concerns for the environment and pollution caused by the fashion industry, Florence and her Granny were inspired to up-cycle the offcuts from awning manufacturing that her Grandma had collected over 45 years of owning the family business.
They began experimenting and testing with the acrylic material that is discarded once an awning is made to measure.
They discovered its durable and weather resistant quality could transform these un-used offcuts into long-lasting, everyday bags and started AWN.
