In the US, paid paternity leave is 0 days. In comparison, in Sweden, it’s 480. American dads and their kids are at a clear disadvantage. Yet, we never see them or the media discussing this problem. We decided to launch a controversial startup called Rent a Dad to get the issue talked about. Rent a Dad would allow American fathers who have other obligations, to rent a Swedish father to be with their kids in the meantime. Our ultimate goal would be to make men realise, that they don’t need to rent a dad, they can just be dads.
