The problem that drove my project is that within western society, the constructs of grief and how we process bereavement are too linear. Young grievers are confined to the limited language of grief which doesn’t allow their complex emotions to be understood. This led to the creation of my deliverable ‘Unseeing Grief’, a membership community that gives bereaved 18-30 year olds the tools to work on their grief as a lifelong project and creative brief, in collaboration with the Tate.
