Fish Out of Water is a documentary series examining the role of fish and chip shops within its local community, with emphasis on how it served its constituents in lockdown. Taking place around Burnley and Pendle in Lancashire, England. Photographing a mile radius of each chippy presented, showing the direct community and identity which has been affected by lockdowns. The work references the working class roots of the food. Presented as a tabloid newspaper, acknowledging the wrapping of food in newspaper, whilst alluding readership to a common stereotype, the working class only read tabloids.
