67% of refugees and asylum seekers don’t have a full grasp of the language used in their country of relocation.
Using instant speech translation technology developed by Skype, Skypeaid enables refugees in need of emergency care to contact the emergency services, and communicate with them in their own language.
The call is analysed for key words and then connects the caller with the appropriate emergency service. When connected, both the caller and emergency phone operator see realtime subtitles in their own language, allowing both to freely communicate, eliminating the language barrier.
