The Asylum Chapel is part of London’s largest complex of almshouses located in a residential area in Peckham.
Before it was bombed during World War Two the space was a vital part of the community.
The Project aims to remodel the Chapel into a performing arts venue and revitalise it into a community space.
The new space includes a theatre, a kitchen, where residents can come together and share a meal, a flexible space, that can accommodate theatre workshops, yoga classes or meetings for a book club.
This hybrid space will strengthen the community and offer a ´second living room` to the residents.
