The Glassworks responds to contemporary narratives on migration. It comprises glass workshops; exhibition and event spaces; a café; community rooms; and several apartments.

The project invites international glassworkers via an artists-in-residence scheme to stay and create pieces on site, drawing inspiration from the unique setting of Holes Bay and the variety of people resident in the wider artistic community.

The panes of fused glass form a series of flexible, sliding screens, allowing visitors and artists to literally ‘cross boundaries’ and exhibit personal narratives from across the world.
