The Smart Diabetes Case gives young diabetic teenagers the independence to take control of their treatment.
Whenever a diabetes patient leaves their home, the case will detect whether any item(s) are missing using Bluetooth and GPS and notify the user via the smartphone app.
The same technology will also warn the user against lost items, if a piece of equipment hasn’t been put back inside its compartment within one hour.
The app will also notify the user of hot days, advising the use of the cooling gel bag to maintain the insulin’s temperature.
When the Glucagon is removed in the event of severe low blood sugar, the smartphone will vibrate and display clear instructions for someone to assist the person in danger.
