Rob is a Director at the acclaimed design-led structural engineering firm AKT II, well-known for an approach which places ingenuity and style at the heart of its projects, working with some of the world’s most prominent architects, including Zaha Hadid Architects, Foster + Partners and KPF. Rob’s team has successfully delivered a range of high-profile international schemes, from the Francis Crick Institute in London to the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, and more recently the White Collar Factory at Old Street, London.
In recent years Rob has maintained an active involvement in academia, embracing regular opportunities to lecture at KTH, Sweden’s leading engineering faculty. This enthusiasm is testament to his depth of interest and extends into many wider research areas and his contributions to industry forums.
I’m delighted to be involved in a scheme which not only encourages this kind of social awareness in the next generation of professionals but also embraces such a broad spectrum of disciplines under the one banner of design.
