Gabriel Bisset-Smith is an award winning writer/actor/director/comedian from London. He trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and, as an actor, has worked for the RSC, The Royal Court, Young Vic, York Theatre Royal, Lyric Hammersmith, Old Vic New Voices and (of course) “The Bill”. He’s had plays produced at the Hampstead Theatre, York Theatre Royal and for BBC Radio Four.

He’s been on attachment at the Soho Theatre, the Royal Court and a regular story contributor on the Channel Four series Skins. His short film “Thrush” won the Rushes Soho Shorts Festival Tenderpixel audience choice award, the 2010 Vimeo Best Narrative award and the Grand Jury Prize at the Disposable Film Festival.

He has just been named one of Dazed & Confused magazines Dazed Visionaries and they commissioned him, alongside the likes of James Franco and Bjork, to make his latest film “Toilets” which has also won numerous awards. He’s also directed lots of music videos and is one half of comedy double act GUILT & SHAME. who have played sold out shows at the Soho Theatre, Underbelly, Bestival, Latitude and tour the country regularly.

He has also been nominated for the Off West End Most Promising Playwright award and has three feature films in development. Gabriel has just directed and co-created the BBC’s groundbreaking multi platform murder mystery “The Last Hours of Laura K” and is about to take his debut solo show, which is co-produced by the Soho Theatre, to the Edinburgh festival.
